Neem

Neem is a tree. The bark, leaves, and seeds are used to make medicine. Less frequently, the root, flower, and fruit are also used. Neem has been referred to as a “wonder herb” for the many beneficial properties it possesses. It has as many as 130 different biologically-active compounds that enhance the well-being of several body parts such as skin, hair and blood, among others.

Neem has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that may soothe irritated skin. Neem is able to balance oil production, heal wounds, stimulate collagen formation, reduce post-acne scars and minimize skin inflammation. It works as a natural alternative to heal the skin tissue from within and simultaneously reduces hyperpigmentation and scars. In addition to reducing marks left behind from the ghosts of breakouts past, neem also works on actively treating pimples with its antiseptic and antibacterial properties, thus earning a regular spot in anti-acne cleansers, creams and treatments.
