Mix and Match Turmeric Masks

Mix and Match Turmeric Masks

Brighten your skin up with these simple and easy to make face masks!

When it comes to beauty, we believe in treating our skin with a kind and gentle hand. Enter Turmeric, an ancient Indian ingredient used for generations to boost internal and external beauty. A key factor in many Ayurvedic recipes, Turmeric is loaded with antioxidants that fight free-radical damage in your skin. Plus, it’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties can naturally heal skin problems.

Here are four ways you can use Turmeric along with other household ingredients to help your skin glow! We’d recommended using these masks consistently for one to two months to see the best results.

Method 1: Turmeric, Honey, and Milk

These three ingredients form an excellent skin cleansing mask. The lactic acid in milk helps to dissolve skin impurities and honey acts as a moisture seal, pulling air into your face and making it supple.

Things you’ll need:

  • 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon tomato pulp
  • 1 tablespoon Jojoba oil

Step 1: Combine turmeric, pulp, and oil and mix well until it forms a paste. Make sure the paste isn’t too thick and isn’t too runny either (add more turmeric or oil as needed)

Step 2: Apply a thin layer all over your face and neck and massage into face for about 10 minutes . Then let mask sit for about 15 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse off with plain lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.

Method 3: Turmeric, Gram flour, and Water

While the turmeric evens skin to ease hyper-pigmentation, the gram flour acts as an exfoliant, clearing away dead cells.

Things you’ll need:

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons gram flour
  • Water - as needed

Step 1: Combine turmeric, flour, and water and mix well until it forms a paste. Make sure the paste isn’t too thick and isn’t too runny either (add more turmeric or water as needed).

Step 2: Apply a thin layer all over your face and neck and massage into face for about 5 minutes. Then let mask sit for about 15 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse off with plain lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.

Step 4: Apply a non-comedogenic moisturizer.

Method 4: Turmeric, Rice flour, and Yogurt

Rice flour, similar to gram flour, helps to even out hyperpigmentation and the yogurt acts as a cleanser and moisturizer.

Things you’ll need:

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons rice flour
  • 3 tablespoons plain yogurt

Step 1: Combine turmeric, flour, and yogurt and mix well until it forms a paste. Make sure the paste isn’t too thick and isn’t too runny either (add more turmeric or yogurt as needed).
